Your adventure begins with an early morning flight to Ushuaia, where we’ll meet our hybrid-powered expedition ship, MS Royal Amundson, specially designed for sustainable cruising in polar waters. This bustling port is the capital of Argentina’s Tierra del Fuego province. Set against the magnificent backdrop of the Martial Glacier, Ushuaia vies for the title of the world’s southernmost city.
After a briefing from your Expedition Team, you’ll have time to settle into your cabin and explore the comforts and amenities on board. Later, you’ll join your Expedition Team for a welcome dinner.

Visit the onboard Science Center and find out what lies ahead. Listen to experts talk passionately about Antarctica’s history, the science beneath the ice, and the impact of climate change and plastic pollution. You’ll learn how to make your visit as safe and as sustainable as possible, and about the Citizen Science projects you can join. Relax and meet your fellow adventurers. Take an invigorating swim, enjoy a spa treatment and look out for icebergs, whales and albatrosses.

Nothing quite prepares you for it. Surrounded by looming glaciers, and icebergs the size of floating cathedrals, Antarctica will fill you with wonder. Perhaps the most surprising part of Antarctica is the silence. It’s a stillness that’s broken every so often by the locals-the wildlife. Whales begin to arrive in greater numbers by December and January. This is also when the first penguin chicks hatch and seeing the clumsy clumps of feathers run around is always a charming sight. February and March are the peak of whale-watching opportunities, when large amounts of krill lure them to the area.
The various Landing Islands as given below: Deception Island, South Shetland Islands One of the highlights of the South Shetlands, Deception Island is a distinctive ring-shaped volcanic caldera, a portion of which has collapsed and created a navigable opening into the flooded interior. The natural harbour within includes Whalers Bay, home to an abandoned whaling station known as Hektor, as well as a derelict British base. Half Moon Island, South Shetland IslandsStaggeringly photogenic and blessed with some of the most spectacular Antarctic scenery imaginable, Half Moon Island is a glittering gem amongst these island treasures. Its serrated and creviced cliffs are home to a large colony chinstrap penguins, as well as Antarctic terns, kelp gulls, snowy sheathbills, Wilson’s storm petrels and several species of seals who are regular visitors to the island.
Neko Harbour : Neko Harbour with its Gentoo penguin colony lies nestled in Andvord Bay, surrounded by the mountains and high glacier walls of the peninsula. Named after a factory whaling ship from the early 1900s, Neko is one of the rare places in this area where you may land on the Antarctic mainland.
Petermann Island : Its location in the picturesque Penola Strait makes Petermann Island a great spot for iceberg- and whale-spotting and offers spectacular views across the channel to the Antarctic Peninsula.
NORMALLY THE ABOVE SAID ISLANDS ARE CONSIDERED AS LANDING SPOTS HOWEVER DEPENDING ON THE WATER CURRENT-WEATHER CONDITION, THE STEERING COURSE WILL BE DECIDED AND DECISIONS ON BOARD THE CRUISE REGARDING LANDINGS WILL BE TAKEN BY THE CAPTAIN.

Today, we arrive back in Ushuaia, where our 12-day expedition draws to a close. From here, you’ll take a flight back to Buenos Aires. As you leave this beautiful Antarctic region behind, you’ll take with you lasting memories of everything you’ve seen and done, the importance of these precious habitats, and positive experiences of sustainable expedition travel.
As we stay back in Buenos today in the evening we proceed to experience the most scintillating folklore dance show namely the Tango. The tango house magically recreates the intense passion of the ‘Golden Age’, Argentine society, when every corner of Buenos Aires was teeming with the sights, sounds, and smells of tango! The show will bring you back to Canaro, Fresedo, Piazzolla, D’Arienzo, Troilo, and Pugliese, among other celebrities. Today, the Tango is a place that combines the most delicate ambience with the purest art deco style of the Golden Age, an outstanding group of artists, top productions, and a quality gastronomic display which honours the time it represents. In the morning post breakfast we proceed to see the Northern District tour of Buenos Aires. The majot landmark of this district comprise of the following namely 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest one in the world, which features the famous Obelisk and Colon Theatre, considered one of the best Opera Houses in the world.
The Recoleta neighborhood is the hub of the city’s aristocracy, where old-money families live in pricey apartments along avenues with soaring French architecture. Recoleta cemetery is the final resting place of many of the wealthiest and significant historical figures of Argentina, such us E va “E vita” Perón.
Floralis Generica: a 20- meter high stainless steel flower that automatically opens and closes its petals with the sun.
Palermo district, this pretty garden boasts a collection of more than 18,000 roses surrounded by a lake and acres of parkland. Later we the Southern District of Buenos Aires. The major point of interests being: Puerto Madero, the newest and most contemporary district of Buenos Aires, where modern real estate and high-rise office buildings form a new kind of skyline.
Plaza de Mayo (May Square), historical site of the main political events to take place in Argentina. This site is the centre of the political, religious and social life of Buenos Aires. San Telmo, one of the oldest districts in Buenos Aires.During the 1970s, many artists and artisans installed their workshops.
