ARRIVE IN ATHENS: BY NIGHT TOUR

Assemble in Kolkata Airport for your flight to Athens via a middle east stopover. Arrival at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport. Our transfer will be waiting for you at the airport. After boarding our luxurious vehicle, sit back and relax as the driver transports you to an Indian restaurant. Lunch and transfer to the hotel. Check in and free time at leisure. In the evening by night tour at the modern Metropolis which lives in the moment, with the Parthenon towering over it a great reminder of the past. We will start with a short panoramic drive through the City Center and at the slope of the sacred hill, you will be able to see, admire and take photos of the illuminated Acropolis. We continue with a pleasant walk through the narrow picturesque streets of Plaka, the old city, where you will have time for shopping. Dinner at a typical Greek tavern with folklore shows and live music. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

ATHENS CITY TOUR – PROCEED TO SANTORINI

Breakfast, check out and get ready for the most amazing city tour through history that AVIANA chose for you and gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city!! We will start our tour with the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896. We will continue and pass by the Prime Minister’s residence (ex. Royal Palace), guarded by the Euzones in their colorful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus – one of the largest in antiquity, the Hadrian’s Arch – the symbolic entrance to the city, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Syntagma – Constitution Square. Next stop, Acropolis with the Architectural Masterpieces in the world of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon. Only 300m away from the sacred rock of Acropolis stands the impressive New Acropolis Museum where at least 4000 priceless statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era. After our visit, lunch at an Indian restaurant and then transfer to the airport for your flight to Santorini. Arrival, pick up transfer to Indian restaurant. After dinner, transfer to hotel, check-in and overnight.

SANTORINI – VOLCANO BOAT TOUR & THE HOT SPRINGS –FIRA – OIA SUNSET

Breakfast and Volcano boat tour and the Hot springs. Pick up from the hotel and transfer to Athinios port, where you will board the boat. After a 10-minute short trip, the boat arrives at the port of Erinia which is the name of the small bay of the active volcano. The ship will remain there for 1 hour and 15 minutes and if you want, you can follow the small path to reach the top where the active craters are located. There you can take pictures, see the rocks still smoking and where it strongly smells of brimstone. After your return back to the ship, we depart for the island of Palaia Kameni where the hot springs are located, the famous natural mud baths, which have been created after the volcanic eruptions. In the small bay of St. Nickolas, the water temperature varies from 30 to 35 degrees Celsius, as it constantly mixes with the normal seawater. The ship remains here for about 30 minutes and you have the opportunity for swimming. It’s quite a time since there is no beach but you should climb down the stairs of the boat. You have to swim about 30 meters to the interior of the small bay of the Hot Springs. After swimming in the thermal waters, the boat returns back to the old port at 14.00 where by cable car we will reach Fira. Transfer to an Indian restaurant. After lunch we will wander through the white cobbled streets of Fira, a town of about 2000 inhabitants. One gets the feel of the old-world charm blended in with the modern day comforts and Gold Street where someone can find the most interesting jewellery. Last stop is the traditional village of Oia which is on the northern tip of the island, high on the cliff top. Oia hosts the most magnificent views on Santorini and a picturesque road with cliffs on one side and sea on the other leads to this attractive village typical of Santorini’s architecture with houses sunk deep into the volcanic soil, their whitewashed walls and blue domes sparkling in the sunlight. After sunset, dinner at Indian restaurant and then transfer to hotel, overnight.

SANTORINI – MYKONOS – CITY WALKING AND ISLAND TOUR

Breakfast, check out and transfer to the port for your speed boat to Mykonos. Arrival, pick up and transfer to an Indian restaurant. After lunch transfer to the hotel for check-in and time for freshen up. We will start our tour to the city of Mykonos (walking tour). This tour sweeps through the medieval town of Mykonos also known as the “chora”, being famous as a cosmopolitan island due to the lifestyle and a variety of visitors all around the world. We offer you an opportunity of a lifetime to experience first-hand the true beauty of the Mykonian town, by walking you through its history and re-living some of its past memories. As you will be walking down the coastal paved road, we will pass Manto Square, where the famous monument of Manto Mavrogenous stands, a Greek heroine of the Greek War of Independence. Right after we will head down the famous Matoyianni area, where you will find clothing and footwear shops of famous fashion brands and you will see attractions such as the 3 wells, the home of ‘Manto Mavrogenous’ mother and the Maritime Museum. Crossing the narrow winding paths, through the castle of the Chora and the Scarpa area where ‘Little Venice’ is located, which is famous for its picturesque medieval two storey houses, you can admire the elaborate church of “Panagia Paraportiani”, one of the most famous architectural structures in Greece. We continue our tour to explore the island, visiting some of the most famous beaches and the inner land- scape. We see fishermen and kaikia, small private chapels and houses built in typical Cycladic style. In the second main village of Mykonos, Ano Mera, an idyllic place 6km from town, where the guests have enough free time for a stroll around the traditional square and they can visit the monk monastery Panagia Tourliani built in the 16th century. Dinner at an Indian restaurant. Return to the hotel, Overnight.

MYKONOS – ISTANBUL VIA ATHENS

Breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport carrying the best impression of your trip to Greece!! The flight via Athens flies you into Istanbul, the most vibrant City of Turkey. Lunch en route in the airport. On arrival at Istanbul be transferred to the hotel. Later in the evening you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the boat for Dinner Cruise on the Bosphorus with belly dancing show and drop off back to hotel at the end of tour. During the tour you will be able to see historical places like Dolmabahce Palace, Ortakoy Mosque, Maiden’s Tower, Rumeli Fortress, Bosporus Bridge, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, Beylerbeyi Palace etc. After the dinner you can dance the night away to entertaining music provided by professional DJ and traditional show programs or simply relax with a drink and enjoy the view.

DRIVE TO KUSADASI

Today starts your day a bit early as we drive towards Kusadasi. This charming Aegean town, nestled on Turkey’s western coast, is more than just a gateway to the ancient ruins of Ephesus. Its sun-drenched beaches, vibrant bazaars, rich history, and sumptuous cuisine make it a destination in its own right.
While driving towards Kusadasi time permitting we might think of taking a halt at the beautiful Sirince Village. Nestled in the foothills of Turkish Countryside lies this Sirince Village. It is a charming village with cobbled stones streets and local shops selling countryside wine and many other souvenirs.
Later we drive to Kusadasi for an overnight stay.

EPHESUS , VIRGIN MARY TOUR AND DRIVE TO PAMUKKALE

Breakfast at a hotel. Today we check out and will head for a full day tour to Ephesus + Temple of Artemis + Virgin Mary etc. Ephesus is an ancient city in Turkey with paved streets, wind path square, baths, and monumental ruins. The excavated ruins of the city reflect centuries of history from Classical Greece to the Roman Empire to the spread of Christianity. Ephesus has it all.
Then we will visit the Temple of Artemis dedicated to Greek Goddess Artemis also known as the Temple of Diana built in Epheseus. The temple had been destroyed and only the last remains can been now seen at the site. We will also visit the house of Virgin Mary in Ephesus dates back to early 5th century. It is a Christian Cathedral Church dedicated to Virgin Mary. Then we drive to Pamukkale for a comfortable overnight stay.

COTTON CASTLE TOUR AND DRIVE TO ANTALYA

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. We check out and proceed to see the cotton – castle city of Pamukkale lying in southwestern part of Turkey. The area is famous for hot springs and terraces made up of limestone deposits around the mineral springs. The whiteness out of the calcium deposit looks like a castle made of cotton. Plunge into the aqua blue waters surrounded by white walls to have a unique thermal bath experience.
Post this experience, we will have lunch and then head towards Hierapolis, a must see and popular tourist destination in Turkey for those interested in History and culture.
Then we drive to Antalya for a lovely evening. Once seen simply as the gateway to the Turkish Riviera, Antalya today is very much a destination in its own right. Situated right on the Gulf of Antalya (Antalya Körfezi), the largest city on Turkey’s western Mediterranean coastline is both classically beautiful and stylishly modern. Antalya is blessed with two lovely beaches offering stunning views. Finally we wrap up the day with a hearty dinner and spend the night in the comfort of the hotel.

DRIVE TO CAPPADOCIA VIA KONYA

Breakfast at a hotel. Proceed to Cappadocia via Konya with the Mevlana Museum. It houses the mausoleum of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi), a Persian Sufi mystic. visit. On the way to lunch. Dinner at Cappadocia and overnight stay at the hotel.

AT CAPPADOCIA

At the break of the dawn one can OPT for Hot Air Ballooning Ride at an extra cost.
Later after returning from their post breakfast we will proceed to experience the Underground City, one of the best preserved Underground cities in Cappadocia. Further continue with our photostop visits with stopover outside and distant view of Uchisar Castle, the highest point of Cappadocia. We finish our lunch and then we continue our visit to the Love Valley. Love Valley Cappadocia is a hidden valley with scenic formations to say the least. Despite the resemblance to man hood, these amazing rock formations are far from man-made. 

After Love Valley we visit Pasabag Valley, which is also called Valley of Monks, where you can see unusual rock formations formed out of volcanic eruptions. Also we halt at Pigeon Valley. It is a long, gently sloping canyon running between the main tourist towns of Goreme and Uchisar. It is named after the many pigeon houses which are carved into the soft rock of the adjacent hills. Yes, you’ll find many cave dwellings and pigeon houses all over Cappadocia. We wind up by seeing the beautiful fairy chimneys at Goreme. Post dinner we spend the night in the cozy comfort of the hotel.

FLY TO ISTANBUL AND CITY TOUR

Early morning breakfast and then proceed to the Kayseri Airport for flight to Istanbul. On arrival we set out for a city tour of Istanbul.
With our guided we start our walking tour with visit to Topkapi palace The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, the Holy Mantle; enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed. Then proceed to Hagia sophia mosque. This ancient basilica, built by Constantine the Great in the 4th century and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century, is one of the architectural marvels of all time. Sultanahmet imperial mosque. Across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is known as the Blue mosque because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. We stop for lunch and then proceed to see the Grand covered bazaar In this labyrinth of streets and passages are more than 4,000 shops with each trade having its own area: the goldsmiths’ street, the carpet sellers, Turkish arts and crafts, such as hand painted ceramic plates, hand-honed copperware, brassware and trays, water ewers, onyx-ware and meerschaum pipes. Post the orientation tour, enjoy an Indian lunch and return to the hotel.

ISTANBUL AIRPORT TRANSFER – END OF TOUR
