ARRIVE IN ROME
Assemble in Kolkata Airport for your flight to Rome . On arrival at Rome and after clearing all the immigration formalities we take our seats in the luxurious coach and proceed towards a photostop visit to Colosseum.
An electrifying, spine-tingling sight, the Colosseum is the most thrilling of Rome’s ancient monuments. It was here that gladiators met in fierce combat and condemned prisoners fought off wild beasts in front of baying, bloodthirsty crowds. For some five centuries, the amphitheater was used to stage gladiator games and crowd-pleasing spectacles, often to celebrate important anniversaries and military victories. Gladiatorial combat was finally outlawed in the 5th century but animal shows continued until the mid-6th century. Following the fall of the Roman Empire, the Colosseum was largely abandoned. It was used as a fortress in the 12th century and later plundered of its precious building materials. Later we proceed for dinner and finally check into our designated hotel for an overnight stay.

ORIENTATION TOUR OF ROME & PROCEED TO PESCARA
Today after breakfast we check out and start our day with a guided tour of Rome at first. We give photostop halts at the Roman Forum, which is a center of various important religious, political and social activities. Another major point being Trevi Fountain built in the 1700s, is perhaps one of Rome’s most iconic structures. Erected on the site of an ancient Roman water source, the fountain is made of the same material as the Colosseum (travertine stone). The Trevi Fountain serves as a modern marvel that links back to Rome’s fabled past etc.
We also visit the The Spanish Steps which is a famous landmark in Rome, connecting the Piazza di Spagna with the Trinità dei Monti church on a hilltop. The famous movie The Roman Holiday was also shot here. We later on visit the Piazza Venezia also known as the Palazzo Venezia. Located in central Rome, Palazzo Venezia is one of the largest squares in Rome. It’s one of Rome’s busiest areas and is home to popular attractions. Next we drive towards Pescara. Pescara is situated on the east coast of Italy on the Adriatic Sea and is the capital of its province in the Abruzzo region of Italy. On arrival we take our dinner and spend the night in the comfort of our hotel.

ORIENTATION TOUR OF PESCARA AND DRIVE TO FOGGIA
Post breakfast we check out and indulge in exploration of this cobblestoned authentic Italian town. Many come to explore the natural wonders of Pescara and its cousins. If you look in one direction, you are captivated by the beautiful views of the Apennines mountains that stretch down this way from the northern part of the country. Called the backbone of Italy by some, this mountain range presents a beautiful backdrop to the sea. When you head to explore them, make sure you turn your head back around and take in the mesmerizing view of the Adriatic. Along with the stunning views the major point of touristic importance are the Ponte del Mare that spans across 500 meters and is one of Europe’s longest footbridges. Next comes an outside view of the famous Cathedral San Cetto. The Cattedrale di San Cetteo is a delightful and vibrant church that hosts regular religious assemblies, occasionally attracting a gathering of priests. It boasts a considerable amount of devout attendees and parishioners who actively participate in its activities. This magnificent and grand cathedral, although adorned with modest embellishments, stands as an impressive monument within the heart of Pescara. Pescara also happens to be the birthplace of the controversial proto-fascist poet Gabriele D’Annunzio. Our guide shall explain the history of this town while taking you through the lively avenues of this town.
Further we drive to Foggia, the vibrant heart of northern Puglia, is a city that embodies the richness and vitality of southern Italy. The city is characterized by a history that stretches back centuries, as evidenced by its architecture and historical monuments.
We enjoy a guided tour and post dinner we wrap up the day at the hotel.

DRIVE TO BARI AND GUIDED TOUR OF POLIGNANO AND
MONOPOLI – FURTHER DRIVE TO ALBEROBELLO
Post breakfast we check out and proceed towards Bari in the Apulia region of Italy. Bari, is the main city of Puglia/ Apulia, and from here starts our tour to discover this wonderful region.
There are two great Adriatic towns south of Bari – Polignano a Mare and Monopoli. Visiting Polignano a Mare we will see one of the most beautiful and popular coastal towns in Puglia in Southern Italy. In summer months, it is a bustling hotspot of tourists. The major attractions being the Chiesa di sant’ Antonio, the Statua Di Domenico Modugno to name a few.
A short jaunt out of Bari, Monopoli is a great alternative to the more crowded Polignano A Mare. With numerous small coves to explore, there is space to recline and enjoy the view. This town is bestowed with stunning views, bell towers and cathedrals. Your journey will continue towards Alberobello: a world-known UNESCO World Heritage Site made famous by the “Trulli”. These drystone cone-shaped houses were built in the 14th century from local limestone and this village is really unique, with a fairytale-like atmosphere. The town of Alberobello gets its name from the ancient oak forest of “Arboris Belli” (beautiful trees) that once covered the area. It is possible to see these typical buildings all over the Itria Valley.

TOUR TO CAPRI AND ANACAPRI
Today post breakfast we start our day with a trip to Capri. From Sorrento we board the direct ferry to Capri. Capri, the original home of the glitterati, still holds its place as one of Italy’s most desirable destinations. From its amazing attractions to its sublime natural beauty, its elegant towns and high-end shopping, Capri has long been a place where bucolic Italian charm meets bold Italian glamour. On arrival at the Marina Grande port we enquire about the weather and if it permits an unforgettable trip through the Blue Grotto is highly recommended which can be opted for and done locally on spot. The Blue Grotto is famous for its spectacular illumination, as sunlight seeps in through the sea caves’ entrances and bathes the caves in an ethereal bluish hue.
Next awaits a guided orientation of this high end beach destination Capri. Adjacent to it lies the Anacapri. As the term “Ana” means above, this portion is an elevated side of Capri island. For hiking enthusiasts visiting the same could be an ideal option. However, partying at the Cafes and pubs in Capri could also be a lifetime experience (*** depends on the return ferry time though).
We again catch a ferry to Sorrento . Savour a local dinner and hit the bed for a comfortable overnight stay.

The city of Pompeii is famous because it was destroyed in 79 CE when a nearby volcano, Mount Vesuvius, erupted, covering it in at least 19 feet (6 metres) of ash and other volcanic debris. The city’s quick burial preserved it for centuries before its ruins were discovered in the late 16th century. Be awe struck on learning the history of this place.
Later we drive to Rome.
On arrival at Rome we have free time to indulge in some local shopping. Dinner and overnight stay.
