Helsinki Via Delhi

Our experienced and pleasant Tour-Director, who will be with you throughout, will meet & greet you at Netaji Subhash Bose International Airport 3 hours before journey. She / He will assist you with immigration & custom formalities before boarding flight scheduled to leave Delhi for Helsinki. On arrival at Helsinki be received at the airport and post a lunch on own now indulge yourself in your own leisure and free activity. Later be escorted to an Indian Restaurant for dinner and directly be transferred to the Helsinki Railway station for boarding the The Finnish VR Double Decker night train, known as the Santa Claus Express, travels from Helsinki to snow-covered Lapland in the north to Rovaniemi. DISEMBARK AT ROVANIEMI – RANUA ZOO

Post a hearty breakfast (could be on board the train or at a local restaurant depending on the timing). We disembark at Rovaniemi and then proceed to see the Ranua Zoo – the home of Polar Beer, Artic foxes and many other Arctic species etc to be seen in their natural habitat. After a mouth watering dinner we spend the night at Rovaniemi .

(Rovaniemi – Lake Inari Region

Today morning post breakfast check out and set out for a fascinating orientation tour of Rovaniemi. Surrounded by pine trees allover amidst lies Rovaniemi with all its charm and beauty looking like a princess – the Snow White. Here, at every footstep you will discover animals of Tundra region running from here and there namely the Huskies , the reindeers etc. The Lapland culture with its natural tradition and purity will overwhelm you. In Rovaniemi, the child in every individual springs back as you start humming the “ Jingle Bells” song spontaneously when you enter into the Santa Claus Village. Here, you will feel how your childhood dreams and fancies have suddenly turned into reality when you visit Santa Claus – the person physically at his office. In this village you get ample of options on your own to explore like Snowmobiling, husky sledge ride, reindeer sledge ride etc. You may post a letter for your loved ones residing anywhere in the globe directly from the post office of Santa. The Arctic Circle of 66 ½ degree North just in the vicinity of the Santa Claus Village is yet another major photographic landmark. Post this charming trip be carried to Lake Inari region for a comfortable overnight stay at Ivalo/ Saariselka as per availability. If lucky one might spot the Northern Light right from their own dome shaped igloo hut.

Lake Inari – Hammerfest

Today post breakfast check out for a brief orientation tour of Sami Village (time permitting). The Sami is the oldest natives of the Lapland who over the years have mastered the art of taming the cold and the wild beasts of this virgin region. Later we drive towards Hammerfest . Enjoy lunch en route on your own as you drive to Hammerfest for around 6 hours from Saariselka. Hammerfest falls in Norway and lies above the Arctic Circle indicating a good chance of Aurora spotting. Dinner and overnight stay here.

Hammerfest – Alta

After breakfast, check out the hotel. Let’s drive through the never-ends scenic avenue, passing the forests, small snow capped mountains, fjords connected bridges, lakes, fjords and snowy composition of landscapes to reach Hammerfest – the last city of Norway and is also called the last town on earth. We will try to take few stops at the spectacular spots…like at Olderfjord, Rypefjord and so on. Next from there the coach runs towards Alta which lies before us with all its surreal beauties. Post dinner warm yourself with thermal heaters as you sleep soundly in the lap of Lapland. Overnight in Alta.

Alta – Tromso

In the morning, after having a relaxed breakfast we’ll check out of the hotel as we will head through the mesmerizing journey to Tromso. The National Scenic Route runs through some of the country’s most dramatic landscapes and virgin beauties which are exceptionally beautiful…beyond one’s imagination. Notable landmarks in Alta being the Northern Lights Cathedral. After a long spectacular journey, we will reach Tromso by the evening. Have dinner followed by check in to the designated hotel. In this modern city in the Arctic, nature and culture go hand in hand. Tromso has many activities on offer, from an aquarium to several quality museums. The city is also a popular place to observe the majestic phenomenon of the northern light. Tromso is located 350 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle and is the largest city in Northern Norway. From October-end to March many people come to Tromso to see the northern lights.

Tromso Sami Museum Visit + Cable Car Ride

Today after a relaxed breakfast, we proceed for a self orientation of Tromso with places to be photgraphed are namely the Market Place, the Cathedral, and the Mack Brewery, the Storgata etc. We shall visit the world of Sami Culture and learn how they fought with the bitter cold and weapons used to tame the Arctic animals etc.Also a visit to the Polar Museum will also overwhelm you. Post the visit we take up the Cable Car ride which runs from Solliveien in Tromsdalen up to the mountain ledge Storsteinen (421 meters above sea level) in just four minutes. The two gondolas, known as Seal and Polar bear, each have a capacity of 28 passengers. From the viewing platform at the upper station, you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Tromsø and the surrounding islands, mountains and fjords.

Tromso – Narvik – Abisko – Kiruna

Breakfast & check out from Tromso. A picturesque drive through the scenic paradise to Narvik & then to Kiruna en routeAbisko for a scenic break. Narvik is in Norrland Lapland and the very last station after crossing the Arctic Circle in the northernmost part of the universe. Upon arrival proceed for a self orientation of Narvik, situated in the arctic landscape of Northern Norway; the location of Narvik is perfect. Narvik is located on the shores of the Ofotfjorden. Kiruna – Ice Hotel Visit – Overnight train to Stockholm)

Post breakfast, after a little rest in the hotel, we will transfer you to an Amazing Sighting of the one & only authentic Ice Hotel…just 12 km off Kiruna. Let’s Explore…a Lifetime Experience!! The story of Ice hotel starts in 1989, when it became the world’s first and largest hotel made of ice and snow in the Swedish village of Jukkasjärvi – 200 km north of the Arctic Circle. It’s also Sweden’s most unique and probably most extensive private art hall. Icehotel is all about ice and creativity – with art as the result. That’s why the artists invited to take part are not required to have worked with ice before – they’re selected from among those who send in their ideas based on originality and creating it in real natural ice would pose a new challenge. Each year some 40 artists are taking part in Icehotel. The notion that several weeks’ hard work and months of planning and preparation culminate in something that only exists for a few months is in some respects a bittersweet feeling. Arrive into Stockholm- Evening overnight cruise to
Tallinn

In the morning we arrive at Stockholm Central station where we finish our breakfast in the vicinity and start off with our Guided tour of Stockholm – the capital city of Sweden. During your city sightseeing tour you will see the main sights of Stockholm, such as the Old Town (Gamla Stan), the Parliament buildings, the Royal Theatre, the Stockholm Cathedral. Noble Museum at Gamla Stan is another photo stop while on the tour. We shall also visit the Vasa Museum famous for its magnificent display of warships of the past era. After a fulfilling tour of the Stockholm city now later in the evening we board the overnight cruise to Tallinn which is the Capital of Estonia.. In the evening enjoy an international buffet on board the cruise and spend the overnight.

Tallinn Guided tour and overnight in Helsinki

After breakfast we disembark from the cruise at Tallinn. We board our coach and start our day with exploring this new destination joining a guided tour. Tallinn’s Old Town encompasses endless treasures for history buffs and culture hounds alike. Known for being one of the world’s best-preserved Hanseatic town centers, the vibrant village-like area features cobblestone streets, lively cafés, and architecture from long-ago centuries. Start your experience at the Town Hall Square.While you might be tempted to keep your eyes cast up at the colorful buildings, look down until you find the distinctive circular stone marked with a compass. Standing atop it gives you the unique vantage point to see the steeples of five historic churches around Tallinn. Then, make your way inside the church-likeTown Hall. Erected in 1404, the oldest town hall in Northern Europe boasts magnificent Gothic arches and precious artworks. Another prominent spot in Tallinn’s Old Town is theViru Gate. Once part of the city wall’s defense system, this 14th-century structure features fairy-tale-esque, round towers topped with coned roofs fit for a princess. Nearly two kilometers of the original city wall is still standing. You can get a good look at this historic structure from the Patkuli viewing platform onToompea Hill. Later we cross the Baltic sea to return to Helsinki, have dinner and finally check into our hotel for a sound sleep

Helsinki – Reykjavik- Vik/Hella

Today at around early morning fly out and reach Reykjavik. From there be transferred to Southern part of Iceland. En route pass by the 2 most spectacular waterfalls of Southern Iceland namely the Skogafoss. Only a few kilometers away from the south shores of Iceland, lies the village of Skógar along the Southern Ring Road. It is a popular center surrounded by unusual scenic beauty. The breathtaking view of Skogáfoss waterfall and scenic surroundings and the snow-capped heights of two towering glaciers are Skógar’s major attractions. Then we proceed to yet another famous waterfall now being the location of the “Gerua” song – the Seljalandsfoss. We also stop at the Plane Crash site at Solheimasandur which gained a lot of footfalls after the Gerua song was shot here. Then spend the night at leisure in Vik/Hella etc with dinner.

South Coast Tour Of Iceland

After enjoying a hot breakfast, you will have a enthralling drive as we proceed to the peerless Black Beach of the World – the Reynisfjara. The onyx black sand of Reynisfjara is formed from volcanic activity in Iceland. When lava collides with the ocean, it rapidly cools and shatters into small fragments of basalt. Those small fragments are what comprise many of the black sand beaches around Iceland.

Next, comes the major attraction of the tour – the Jokulsarlon Glacier. The iceberg floating in the midst of the frozen sea will take you to an ethereal world. The Skaftafell located inside the Vatnajokull National Park just adjacent adds more to the beauty of this place.The Jokulsarlon is always filled up to the brim due to the water fed by the melting of the glacier from Vatnajokull – the world’s largest glacier. However, the constant melting of the ice now pose as a danger as the glacier might disappear in the next few decades. Both Reynisfjara and Jokulsarlon happen to be shooting locations of Gerua song. Later visit the Diamond Beach where pieces of ice scattered everywhere looks so shimmering whose shine is no lesser than diamonds. Post the tour return safely to your hotel preceded by a dinner.

Golden Circle Tour

This morning after breakfast, proceed for Golden Circle tour hence drive to Thingvellir National Park first where the ancient parliament met for centuries on the shores of Iceland’s largest lake. After a walking tour, continue through the farmlands to the thermal area of the great Geyser Strokkur spouting hot springs where jet of water is sprouted every 15 mins after. Then we visit Gullfoss, known as the ‘’Golden Waterfall’’ and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. The water plummets down 32 meters in two stages into a rugged canyon whose walls reach up to 70 meters in height. On a sunny day shimmering rainbow can be seen over the falls. Post the tour dinner will be served at an Indian or hotel restaurant. We will make an attempt to explore the Northern Lights tonight, followed by overnight stay in the hotel at Reykjavik.
