HIGHLIGHTS: Trevi Fountain, Saint Peter’s Basilica, Photo Stop at Colosseum

After breakfast, check out and drive to the Political Capital of Italy, Rome. Begin a guided city tour by visiting the Trevi Fountain where you can make a wish by tossing a coin over your shoulders into the fountain. The Trevi Fountain is in the Trevi district in Rome, Italy, designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Pietro Bracci. Standing 26.3 meters (86 ft) high and 49.15 meters (161.3 ft) wide, it is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world. The fountain has appeared in several notable films, including Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita.

We then have a photo-stop at the World famous & historic Colosseum – the venue of grand contests in the ancient times of Gladiators. The Colosseum or Coliseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is an oval amphitheater in the center of the city of Rome, Italy. Thereafter, we drive through the Temples of Saturn and Concorde, the Arch of Augustus & other important Roman monuments.

We then proceed to visit the last important place of your tour in Europe, Vatican City – the smallest country in the world which itself is a city as well a country. The world’s smallest country, Vatican City occupies 0.44 sq km (about 0.2 square miles) and is completely encircled by the city of Rome. Vatican City is also a tourist magnet thanks to the presence of some of Rome’s most popular attractions, including the St. Peter’s Basilica. St. Peter’s Basilica, the crowning glory of Vatican City, is the most important church in the world and you will find inside some works by the renowned sculptor/architect Gian Lorenzo Bernini and also Michelangelo’s Pietà.

After spending some free time, transfer to the International airport of Rome for boarding your return flight which is scheduled to depart on airlines schedule. Your luggage will be tagged till your final destination in India. Dinner will be served on board.
