(Bhalukpong – Bomdila)

After breakfast, depart for Tipi Orchid Research Centre, which is located on the west bank of the Kameng River (also known as Jia Bharoli in Assam) and is flanked by steep hills covered in semi-evergreen tropical rain forest vegetation. We then travel to Jia Bharoli in Assam. Then make your way to Bomdila.

Bomdila, popularly known as “Himalaya’s Veranda,” is the administrative centre of West Kameng District, located 109 kilometres from Bhalukpong. Tribes such as the Aka (Hrusso), Miji (Sajalong), Monpa, Sherdukpen, and Khawas live in the area. It is worthwhile to visit the artisan centres, monasteries, ethnographic museum, and emporium, among other places.
