Wadi Rum is a protected area covering 720 square kilometers of dramatic desert wilderness in the south of Jordan. Huge mountains of sandstone and granite emerge, sheer-sided, from wide sandy valleys to reach heights of 1700 meters and more. Narrow canyons and fissures cut deep into the mountains and many conceal ancient rock drawings etched by the peoples of the desert over millennia. Bedouin tribes still live among the mountains of Rum and their large goat-hair tents are a special feature of the landscape. Wadi Rum is called the rarest of the rare Stone Desert on earth.

PETRA is the treasure of the ancient world, hidden behind an almost impenetrable barrier of rugged mountains, boasting incomparable scenes that make it the most majestic and imposing ancient site still-standing. It has been said “perhaps there is nothing in the world that resembles it”. It is the legacy of the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab people who settled in southern Jordan more than 2000 years ago. Admired then for its refined culture, massive architecture and ingenious complex of dams and water channels, Petra is now a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE and one of The New 7 Wonders of the World that enchants visitors from all corners of the globe.

After a relax Lunch we will drive up to capital city Amman, enjoy Amman City Tour with Citadel, Old and New part of Amman, Check-in at the hotel followed by dinner. Stay overnight in Amman.

After breakfast check-out and transfer to Allenby Bridge to cross the border to enter Israel.

Visit Jericho near Jordan River in West Bank of Palestine territories and well below sea level also known as city of Palm trees. Jericho is believed to be one of the oldest cities in the world. It was the first city captured by the Israelites after their 40 years of wandering in the desert after the exodus from Egypt. Ironically, Jericho (along with the Gaza Strip) was the first territory given to the Palestinians by Israel as part of their peace agreement in 1994. Today, the Palestinian Authority is developing the town in hopes of making it a major tourist attraction. It is also where Yaser Arafat maintained a home.

Drive to Bethany and then to Nazareth, the largest City in North district of Israel. According to the Gospel of Luke, Nazareth was the home of Joseph and Mary and the Site of the Annunciation (when Mary was told by the Angel Gabriel that she would have Jesus as her son); in the Gospel of Matthew, Joseph and Mary resettle in Nazareth after fleeing to Egypt from their home in Bethlehem. The differences and possible contradictions between these two accounts of the nativity of Jesus are part of the Synoptic Problem. Nazareth is also allegedly where Jesus grew up from some point in his childhood. However, some modern scholars argue that Nazareth was also the birth place of Jesus. Check-in at the hotel for overnight stay in the historical city of Nazareth / Tiberias.

After breakfast check-out and transfer to Capernaum a fishing village from 2nd Century B.C. till 11th Century A.D. the North-Western shore of sea Galilee. Visit Tabgha – the church of Loaves and Fishes, St Peter’s House, Cana Nazareth, a picturesque city and one of the best places of North Israel and known as home town of Jesus. History records that a church was built in Cana by Empress Helena (mother of Constantine) in the 4th century.

Next, we move to the wooden boat for the “Jesus Boat” ride at Sea of Galilee. The base of Jesus’ early ministry, the Sea of Galilee – or Lake Kineret, as it is known in Israel – is one of the most important locations for Christian faith. Many New Testament stories take place around the Sea of Galilee, and it was from this region that Jesus called his disciples to follow him. At about 212 meters (or nearly 700 feet) below sea level, the Sea of Galilee is the lowest freshwater lake in the world. This lake supports Israel’s life and agriculture today, just as it did in the past. Then proceed to Tel Aviv, a city on Israel’s Mediterranean coast is the second most populous city in Israel after Jerusalem. We then proceed to the famous Bethlehem, South of Jerusalem and check-in to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast we visit old city of Jerusalem, Golgotha, Wailing Wall, a remnant of the ancient wall surrounding the Jewish Temple’s country yard and most sacred sites of Judaism and Ein Karem. Golgotha is the biblical name for the place where Jesus was crucified. It was probably a small hill just outside the walls of ancient Jerusalem. According to Christian tradition, it was within the area now occupied by the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We then return to the hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast, visit Mt. Olives in East Jerusalem with 3 peaks and also Jewish Cemetery holding thousands of graves. The Mount of Olives or Mount Olivet is a mountain ridge east of and adjacent to Jerusalem’s Old City. It is named for the olive groves that once covered its slopes. The southern part of the Mount was the Silwan necropolis, attributed to the ancient Judean kingdom. The Mount has been used as a Jewish cemetery for over 3,000 years and holds approximately 150,000 graves, making it central in the tradition of Jewish cemeteries. Several key events in the life of Jesus, as related in the Gospels, took place on the Mount of Olives, and in the Acts of the Apostles it is described as the place from which Jesus ascended to heaven.

Proceed to Gethsemane, a garden at the foot of Mt. Olives where Jesus prayed with his disciples before Crucifixion. While the above title is a matter of opinion there are a lot of reasons to validate the claim. For example, the location of the Mount of Olives is a perfect place to take in views of the Temple Mount and the rest of the Old City. It’s also a very pleasant place to take a walk along the curvaceous road that leads to the top of the Mount of Olives. Plenty of shade, views, and usually solitude to go along with the fact that the Mount of Olives is quite a prominent place for those who believe in the events that are chronicled in the Bible. Be sure to have your camera ready for all the spectacular views of the Old City. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast in the hotel, we check out from the hotel and proceed for our final departure from the birth place of Jesus Christ. After crossing the border between the 2 countries through Allenby Bridge with all formalities (change of coach & immigration with custom) we drive to Dead Sea, to relax and swim.

The Dead Sea coast in Jordan, located at the lowest spot on earth, at more than 400 meters below sea level, is a spectacular tourist attraction. It’s warm weather, filtered sun ray, oxygen-rich air, famous mineral-rich black mud and curative waters make it the largest natural spa in the world. Its water is known for being rich in healing properties, stress-combating Magnesium, body-energizing and moisture-balancing Potassium and water retention preventing Calcium. It also contains Bromide, which eases muscle stiffness and Sodium, which is essential for lymphatic fluid balance. After such an exciting experience, we now return to Amman for dinner and overnight stay.

Enjoy a relax Breakfast at the hotel and day is free on your own till we will check out from the hotel.
