After breakfast check out from Gulmarg hotel. Today we will proceed to Pahalgam. PAHALGAM is one of the most beautiful places on earth; the town of Pahalgam (Village of Shepherds) offers breathtaking views of Himalayas. Pristine Pahalgam is one of the most scenic places in the famed valley of Kashmir. With unimaginably beautiful vistas that look like a perfect painting, complete with the sparkling Lidder River, lush meadows and soaring pines, Pahalgam has all the ingredients to take your breath away. On arrival we check in to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for individual activities and relax. Have sumptuous dinner at the hotel and stay overnight at hotel.

After breakfast we shall visit the beautiful ARU VALLEY/ BETAB VALLEY. ARU VALLEY is a tourist spot in the Anantnag District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is located around 12 km from Pahalgam, 11 km upstream from the Lidder River. Noted for its scenic meadows, lakes and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies on the left bank of the Aru river, which is a tributary of the Lidder river.

Betab valley is situated at a distance of 15 km (9.3 mi) from Pahalgam in Anantnag district. It is a very popular touristic destination. Betab Valley is also a favorite campsite of travelers as it also serves as a base camp for trekking and further exploration of the mountains. The crystal clear & chilly water of the stream bubbling down from the snowy hills is a delight to watch; locals here drink this water too. Baisaran and Tulian Lake are few nearby attractions that can be visited.

From Here we will proceed to CHANDANWARI. Chandanwari is famous for being the base, or starting point, to the famous Hindu pilgrimage site, Shri Amarnath Yatra. It is situated at an elevation of 2,895 meters, and located about 16 kilometers from Pahalgam. A perfect place to relax in the company of nature. It is blessed with picturesque beauty, with the Lidder river flowing close by, and is famous for its sightseeing opportunities, as it is surrounded by snowcapped mountains.

Chandanwari is covered in snow from November till May, and you can watch the lovely sight of glaciers melting in the Lidder River. Return to hotel. Hot sumptuous dinner will be served.

After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Srinagar. Today you will enjoy the wonderful experience of stay in House boat. The charm of staying on a houseboat, which provides the unique experience of living on the water in a cedar – panelled elegant bedroom, with all the conveniences of a luxury hotel. Srinagar’s thousand or so houseboats are moored along sections of the Dal and Nagin Lakes and river Jhelum, each decorated fancifully and named romantically. Facing the majestic Himalayas and offering the pleasant sounds of rolling waters, these houseboats are the greatest attraction in Kashmir.  In the evening enjoy a Shikara Ride in famous Dal Lake.  The joy of smoothly gliding over the water with the crisp sound of the paddle indeed is a feeling to be imbibed. Dal & Nagin lakes offer joyous shikara boat rides in Srinagar city. While on a shikara boat, the view of Zabarwan hills is just thrilling and with rhythmic tossing of water waves with the boat making the experience of the boat ride a pure fascination. The flower and boutique vendors on the shikara boats make the voyage more charming. Sightseeing of Dal and Nagin lakes on a shikara ride makes the trip adventurous particularly the inside Dal Lake boat rides. Hot delicious dinner will be served at Houseboat.

After breakfast, we proceed for a half a day local sightseeing of Srinagar which include the Mughal Gardens and visiting Chashme Shahi.

The garden was developed on the orders of Emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 by Ali Mardan Khan around an abundant spring emerging from the slopes of the Zabarwan Mountains. The waters of the spring are renowned for their cool and rejuvenating qualities; Nishat Bagh built by Asaf Khan, the brother -in- law of Jehangir in 1632 AD, and Shalimar Bagh built by Jehangir for his wife empress Nur Jahan. Built in between a period of 14 years the two gardens are a heritage left behind by the erstwhile Mughals, whose taste for laying exquisite gardens was fascinating. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background. 

Return to hotel and check out for transfer to the airport for return flight to Kolkata.

Our pleasant & experienced tour manager, who will be with you throughout the tour, will meet and greet you at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport Kolkata 2 hours prior to the departure time. After completing the Airport formalities, Board the flight for Srinagar.

Srinagar is known as the ‘Land of Lakes and Gardens’ since it is surrounded by Himalayan Mountains and is embellished with exquisite Mughal gardens and serene Dal and Nigeen lakes. It is situated on the banks of the Jhelum River at a height of 1730 meters. This lovely location is also known for being one of India’s top honeymoon and family vacation destinations. We shall proceed to the hotel after arriving at the Srinagar airport. Make your way to the hotel. Dinner will be served hot.

After breakfast, go on a full-day excursion to Sonmarg, which is a wonderful drive from Srinagar through the Sindh Valley, which offers yet another breathtaking view of Kashmir’s scenery. The area of Ladakh begins here. Sonmarg, at an elevation of 2743 meters above sea level, lives up to its name, which means ‘Golden Meadow.’ The snow-covered mountains that provide the town’s backdrop will be the first thing you notice as soon as you enter Sonmarg.

Tourists go in large numbers to this little hill destination to enjoy the beautiful natural beauty and snow-capped summits. Sonmarg is surrounded on all sides by alpine trees and boasts one of the most beautiful flower collections in the world. You may take a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. Return to Srinagar Hotel by the evening.

After breakfast, we will drive to Doodhpathri, which is approximately 57 km from the Srinagar and lies in the Badgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The two-hour drive to the place is an enjoyment in itself. Grassy pastures stretching to acres of land, the dense forests full of pine trees, with the backdrop of splendid snowcapped mountains leave you almost speechless. Within commutable distance from Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, Doodhpathri is the perfect place to go for a picnic.

Sitting by the scintillating River Doodhganga overlooking the mighty Sunset and Tatakooti Peaks, Yusmarg offers itself as a perfect tourist destination for all those looking for relaxing and rejuvenating vacation amidst nature. By evening we will return to Srinagar. Have delicious, hot dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast we check out of the hotel at Srinagar and proceed to Gulmarg. On arrival check in to the hotel. GULMARG is one of the most beautiful resorts in the valley. It is at 52kms from Srinagar. Surrounded by snow-covered lofty Himalayas, meadows of flowers, deep ravines, evergreen forested valleys, Gulmarg has the world’s second-highest Gondola ride – The Gulmarg Gondola. The two-stage ropeway ferries about 600 people per hour to and from Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of nearby Afarwat Peak (4,200 m (13,780 ft).

If we choose to visit Gulmarg during the winter season, we will see it becoming a wonderland. While, with the arrival of the autumn season, here one can get to witness the brightest of flowers blooming everywhere. The place offers fascinating views throughout the year. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and also has highest golf course in the world with 18 holes. We will take the Gondola till stage one and return. Hot delectable dinner will be served at the hotel.
