Early morning after breakfast Check out & Proceed for Guwahati. Check in to Guwahati hotel. After lunch visit Kamakhya Temple. The Kamakhya Temple had been built in reverence to Goddess Kamakhya or Sati, who was one of the numerous incarnations of Goddess Durga or Goddess Shakti. Torn between misery and blind fury, Shiva picked up the corpse of his beloved wife Sati and performed a dance of destruction called the ‘Tandava’. The temple is situated a few kilometers away from the Guwahati Railway Station, and is open for visitors throughout the year.

After Breakfast check out from Dirang hotel and proceed Nameri to visit to Nameri National Park and Forest Reserve. Nameri national park is famous for its elephants and other animals including tigers, leopards, gaurs, wild pigs, sambars, etc. and also for being a bird watcher’s paradise.
Safaris are available and are the most popular way to create a trip full of excitement, into the national park. Also, along with the rich fauna of the place, the lush and evergreen flora too, tends to enchant the visitors. Facilities for activities such as water rafting, fishing, swimming are available, though permission from the forest department is essential for fishing. One can also dwell a little in peace and sunbathe in the area.
The river in Nameri is full of a variety of fish. The Forest Department here conducts fishing related activities. Golden Masheer Fish is the famous fish of this region and measures 3-9 feet. It is also known as “Tiger of the Himalayan rivers”. The river rafting is also held at the south-east side of the park on river Jai Bharali. The rafting route is 13 km long and takes around 3 hours. A great, tiring and enjoyable experience.

After Breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed back to Dirang. On the way, near Jong you will visit Nuranang falls. A largely unknown and virgin place, deep in the forest of Tawang, Nuranang Falls offer a pristine and beautiful experience. One of the most spectacular waterfalls in the country, the Nuranang Falls is a beautiful white sheet of water that descends from the height of about 100 meters. Part of the Nuranang River which originates at Sela Pass, Nuranang Falls is largely unknown to the popular tourist trail making it an offbeat and tranquil spot. Popular as the BTK waterfall, the Bap Ten Kang has crystal clear water which elevates our spirits and encourages us to indulge in swimming.
Then we continue our journey to Dirang. Dirang is a small town in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. It is located on the bank of river Kameng (Known as Jia Bharali in Assam). Since it is on the river valley the altitude is relatively low (4900 ft). The weather here is not very cold and quite pleasant during most of the year. We visit regional apple nursery, Kiwi Farm and Dzong hot water spring. Check in to Dirang hotel.

After breakfast, we go on a full-day Tawang tour. Visit the Tawang Buddhist Monastery, also known as the Golden Namgyal Lhatse, which is nestled in the gorgeous surroundings of Arunachal Pradesh. It is the world’s second largest monastery, behind Lhasa, and is located at a height of 3,000 meters above sea level.
Then we go to Maduri Lake. With the Himalayas as its backdrop, Arunachal Pradesh is home to a plethora of magnificent lakes, but none more so than the Madhuri Lake, also known as Sangetsar Lake. Sangetsar or Madhuri Lake is a beautiful combination of Rocky Mountains and an ever-present lake whose beauty is beyond enchanting. It is one of the country’s and possibly the world’s most distant lakes. The lake became famous after appearing in the Bollywood film Koyla, and it is now known as Madhuri Lake, after the lead heroine in the film.
We also go to Pankang Teng Tso Lake (also known as P.T. Tso), which is one of the most fascinating lakes surrounded by Mother Nature’s brilliance and beauty. This incredibly scenic region, located around 25 kilometers from Tawang town, is an ideal tourist destination.
After lunch visit Tawang war memorial, a 40 feet colorful structure, the War Memorial is dedicated to all the martyrs of the Sino-India War of 1962. Lying in the bosom of the beautiful peaks of Himalayas, this memorial overlooks the scenic Tawang-Chu valley.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to the Bomdila Monastery, which was built by Tsona Gontse Rinpoche, for a visit to Bomdila, the 12th reincarnate. The monastery, which was founded in 1965, is one of Bomdila’s most well-known attractions. Buddhist monks and lamas reside in the Bomdila monastery. The monastery in Bomdila is said to be an exact replica of Tsona Gontse Monaster.
We depart from Upper Monastery through Dirang and Sela Pass, the world’s second highest motorable pass at 13494 feet. The rocky pass is also home to one of Arunachal’s most beautiful lakes – the Sela Lake. Being a sensitive region, one needs an inner line permit to visit Sela Pass. The Sela pass and the Sela lake situated at an altitude of 4170 meters are a gateway to Arunachal and in a way tell you the treasures that lie ahead within the state.
Then we visit Jaswant Garh. Located 21km from Sela Pass, towards Tawang this site is dedicated to the warrior, Jaswant Singh who was killed during the Indo-China War in 1962. The place is open to all to pay tribute to this brave martyr.
After Jaswant Garg we drive to Tawang. Located at a height of about 3048m, is known for many important and beautiful monasteries and is famous for being the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, Tsangyang Gyatso. After breakfast, depart for Tipi Orchid Research Centre, which is located on the west bank of the Kameng River (also known as Jia Bharoli in Assam) and is flanked by steep hills covered in semi-evergreen tropical rain forest vegetation. We then travel to Jia Bharoli in Assam. Then make your way to Bomdila.
Bomdila, popularly known as “Himalaya’s Veranda,” is the administrative centre of West Kameng District, located 109 kilometres from Bhalukpong. Tribes such as the Aka (Hrusso), Miji (Sajalong), Monpa, Sherdukpen, and Khawas live in the area. It is worthwhile to visit the artisan centres, monasteries, ethnographic museum, and emporium, among other places.
