Tribes such as the Aka (Hrusso), Miji (Sajalong), Monpa, Sherdukpen, and Khawas live in the area. It is worthwhile to visit the artisan centres, monasteries, ethnographic museum, and emporium, among other places.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to the Bomdila Monastery, which was built by Tsona Gontse Rinpoche, for a visit to Bomdila, the 12th reincarnate. The monastery, which was founded in 1965, is one of Bomdila’s most well-known attractions. Buddhist monks and lamas reside in the Bomdila monastery. The monastery in Bomdila is said to be an exact replica of Tsona Gontse Monaster.

We depart from Upper Monastery through Dirang and Sela Pass, the world’s second highest motorable pass at 13494 feet. The rocky pass is also home to one of Arunachal’s most beautiful lakes – the Sela Lake. Being a sensitive region, one needs an inner line permit to visit Sela Pass. The Sela pass and the Sela lake situated at an altitude of 4170 meters are a gateway to Arunachal and in a way tell you the treasures that lie ahead within the state.

Then we visit Jaswant Garh. Located 21km from Sela Pass, towards Tawang this site is dedicated to the warrior, Jaswant Singh who was killed during the Indo-China War in 1962. The place is open to all to pay tribute to this brave martyr.
After Jaswant Garg we drive to Tawang. Located at a height of about 3048m, is known for many important and beautiful monasteries and is famous for being the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, Tsangyang Gyatso. The beautiful town of Tawang, also pronounced as Dawang has many sceneries to make your trip a picturesque one. Then we go to Maduri Lake. With the Himalayas as its backdrop, Arunachal Pradesh is home to a plethora of magnificent lakes, but none more so than the Madhuri Lake, also known as Sangetsar Lake. Sangetsar or Madhuri Lake is a beautiful combination of Rocky Mountains and an ever-present lake whose beauty is beyond enchanting. It is one of the country’s and possibly the world’s most distant lakes. The lake became famous after appearing in the Bollywood film Koyla, and it is now known as Madhuri Lake, after the lead heroine in the film.

After Breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed back to Dirang. On the way, near Jong you will visit Nuranang falls. A largely unknown and virgin place, deep in the forest of Tawang, Nuranang Falls offer a pristine and beautiful experience. One of the most spectacular waterfalls in the country, the Nuranang Falls is a beautiful white sheet of water that descends from the height of about 100 meters. Part of the Nuranang River which originates at Sela Pass, Nuranang Falls is largely unknown to the popular tourist trail making it an offbeat and tranquil spot. Popular as the BTK waterfall, the Bap Ten Kang has crystal clear water which elevates our spirits and encourages us to indulge in swimming.
Then we continue our journey to Dirang. Dirang is a small town in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. It is located on the bank of river Kameng (Known as Jia Bharali in Assam).
