ITINERARY

DAY ZERO | ASSEMBLE & READY TO BOARD

Welcome to the world of avianaholidays – the leisure unit of IATA accredited Aviana Travels Pvt. Ltd, approaching “24th Year of Excellence Service” in the space of Travel & Tourism segment. Our experienced and pleasant Tour-Director, who will be with you throughout, will meet & greet you at Kolkata International Airport before journey. She / He will assist you with immigration & custom formalities before boarding flight scheduled to leave Kolkata for Paris. Your luggage will need to be tagged directly to Paris from Kolkata itself.

DAY ONE | PARIS

The flight is scheduled to leave Kolkata as per designated airline’s time schedule. Either you will connect the onward flight at Doha or Dubai with Qatar or Emirates respectively. Don’t forget to tag your luggage till Paris.

Welcome to PARIS…the City of Love! The City of Art! The City of Fashion! Arrive in Charles de Gaul International airport, Paris. After completion of all immigration & customs formalities, pick up your baggage and proceed to board our private coach for check in the designated hotel. Take rest for an hour.

After freshen up, we will take you for a short break at the hub of Paris – Opera Garnier. You are free for an hour or so to explore the Fashion Capital of the World on your own. The Paris Opera now mainly uses the Palais Garnier for ballet. The Palais Garnier has been called one of the most famous opera houses in the world.

You will be transferred after an hour or so to the Indian restaurant for having dinner. After that you will taken back to hotel for overnight stay.

DAY TWO |  PARIS

HIGHLIGHTS | Eiffel Tower, Mona Lisa at Louvre Museum, Illuminated Paris by Seine Cruise.

Optional: Lido Show

After breakfast proceed for the city tour and visit one of the main landmarks of Europe – Eiffel Tower (2nd Level) being the height 300 m, named after its engineer Gustave Eiffel. The view of Paris from the top of Tower is really marvelous. Later, we’ll proceed for a panoramic tour, which includes Concorde square, Champ Elysees, Arc De Triomphe, Trecodero, Notre Dame Cathedral with some photo-stops. We’ll take a stop at the Louvre Museum to enter & experience this world’s largest museum, located on the right bank of Seine River.

The Louvre, originally a palace but now among most visited museums in the world, is a must-visit for anyone with a minimum interest of art. Another famous work of art in the museum are the Venus of Milo, the Dying Slave by Michelangelo and of course Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

In the late evening we will see illuminated Paris by Cruise on River Seine, passing the famous arches, bridges and historic monuments of this majestic city of art & culture. Later transfer to Indian Restaurant for dinner followed by transfer to your Hotel for 2nd night stay in Paris.

Optional: LIDO: After dinner, you will be dropped off at the Lido Show arena. The return back to hotel needs to be taken care by self with taxi.

DAY THREE | ZURICH

HIGHLIGHTS |A Breathtaking Path through Swiss Paradise

After breakfast, enjoy a long drive through scenic road and pass by Dijon, Lyon & other important cities of France, cross the Swiss border with a mesmerizing avenue to arrive at Switzerland for 2 Nights / 3 Days. Transfer to Indian restaurant for dinner and check in to the hotel in Zurich

DAY FOUR | SWISS PARADISE WITH RHINE FALLS

HIGHLIGHTS |Interlaken & Lifetime Chance to experience the Optional Jungfraujoch – The Top of Europe, Rhine Falls – Europe’s Lasrgest Waterfalls

Today after breakfast the day is free to explore on your own OR you can opt for an Optional Tour of Europe's highest altitude railway station (11,333ft.). The highlight of every visit to Switzerland is a trip to both Jungfraujoch - the Top of Europe and Mt Titlis. For those who do not take this picturesque optional tour of Jungfraujoch, will be taken to Interlaken to spend the day on their own.

The Jungfraujoch trip takes you via Kleine Scheidegg & through the Eigar North wall up to the scenic splendors of the Jungfraujoch in the heart of the wonder world of Glaciers & eternal ice. Experience some of the world's most recognized and splendid scenic beauty and waterfalls during the train journey to Jungfraujoch. Views from this unique vantage point extend as far as summits of the Vosges Range in France, the Black Forest in Germany and also directly at the Jungfraujoch, the Aletsch Glacier- the longest ice stream in Alps. After exploring such an unforgettable experience, you will be taken to have hot dinner followed by back to hotel for overnight stay.

DAY FIVE | SWISS MARVEL

HIGHLIGHTS |Wow!! A Day to be Remembered Lifetime...Lake Lucerne, Mount Titlis with RotAir &   IceFlyer, Engelberg

After breakfast, we visit one of the most attractive & awe inspiring places on earth - Mount Titlis on the Alps. Ride the World’s First Revolving Cable Car – RoTAIR® to arrive on the top of the mountain and visit Ice Cave.

Later we visit Glacier Park by Ice Flyer® Chair Lift – a unique rollick on snow tubes (inner tubes for the snow) or a variety of fun & unusual sledges designed to whisk you down, the snow covered slopes - In true sense an unforgettable experience of your life.

Later you will be drove down through the spectacular Swiss mountains to Lucerne, where we visit the Lion Monument, Chapel Bridge on Lake Lucerne and the old town of Lucerne on foot.

You can shop around for world famous Swiss Watches and Swiss Chocolates or you can sit and enjoy the serenity of Lucerne – a town besides the Alps. Later we will have dinner followed by transfer back to the designated hotel for overnight stay in Swiss paradise.

DAY SIX | VENICE – THE ROMANTIC CAPITAL

Optional: Goldola

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to the Romantic City, Venice. Upon arrival at Venice transfer to St. Mark's Square, the heart of the traditional city of Venice, by private boat, Vaporetto. Once we reach the Square, see the famous St. Mark’s Cathedral with Bell Tower. You will be given some time to stroll around or experience the Gondola ride on your own in this romantic city before we leave this island. As the largest square in the city and the only one given the designation of "piazza", St. Mark's Square has always been the location of important government buildings.

The centerpiece of the piazza is, of course, magnificent St. Mark's Basilica.
The basilica has a separate campanile – Bell Tower – that stands 98.6 meters tall (323 ft) and is one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.

The other dominants building around St. Mark's Square are the Doge's Palace, Procuratie Vecchie, National Library of St. Mark's; the Museum of Archaeology which can be seen from outside.
Between the Palace of the Doge and the Library is the Piazzetta (little piazza) San Marco. It is known for the two columns located there that pay homage to two of Venice's patrons - St. Mark and St. Teodoro of Amasea. The columns have long served as the official gateway to the city. Besides being filled with people and great specimens of architecture, Piazza San Marco is also full of pigeons. 

Late evening, transfer to Indian Restaurant to enjoy a delicious Indian dinner followed by transfer to hotel.

DAY SEVEN | PISA – FLORENCE – NEAR ROME

HIGHLIGHTS | Leaning Tower of Pisa, Value added visit at Michelangelo Point in Florence

After breakfast we will check out from the hotel and drive down through the scenic path towards Pisa– the Italian marvel from decades. Upon arrival in Pisa, see the Square of Miracles. On a vast lawn, the Piazza del Duomo in Pisa houses, four masterpieces of medieval architecture, which influenced monumental art in Italy. This site comprise of the famous Bell Tower known as the Leaning Tower of Pisa. After that, you will be transferred to Florence – the birthplace of Italian Renaissance. Florence is famous for its history and has been called "the Athens of the Middle Ages". From 1865 to 1871 Florence was the capital of the recently established Kingdom of Italy.

We visit the world famous Michelangelo Square (Piazzale Michelangelo) which is one of the most beautiful places in Florence, Italy. Perched high on a hillside overlooking the renaissance city, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of Florence's skyline. A replica of Michelangelo's Statue of David stands in the centre of the plaza.

Later transfer to Rome/Padua for dinner, followed by check in to the hotel for overnight stay.

DAY EIGHT | VATICAN CITY + ROME

HIGHLIGHTS |Trevi Fountain, Saint Peter’s Basilica, Photo Stop at Colosseum

After breakfast, check out and drive to the Political Capital of Italy, Rome and start guided city tour by visiting the Trevi Fountain where you can make a wish by tossing a coin over your shoulders into the fountain. The Trevi Fountain is a fountain in the Trevi district in Rome, Italy, designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Pietro Bracci. Standing 26.3 metres (86 ft) high and 49.15 metres (161.3 ft) wide, it is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world. The fountain has appeared in several notable films, including Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita.

We then have a photo-stop at the world famous & historic Colosseum – the venue of grand contests in the ancient times of Gladiators. The Colosseum or Coliseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is an oval amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy. Built of concrete and sand, it is the largest amphitheatre ever built.

Thereafter, we drive through the Temples of Saturn and Concorde, the Arch of Augustus & other important Roman monuments.

We then proceed to visit the last important place of your tour in Europe, Vatican City – the smallest country in the world which itself is a city as well a country. The world's smallest country, Vatican City occupies 0.44 sq km (about 0.2 square miles) and is completely encircled by the city of Rome. Vatican City is also a tourist magnet thanks to the presence of some of Rome's most popular attractions, including the St. Peter's Basilica. Vatican City is home to about 800 residents.

St. Peter's Basilica, the crowning glory of Vatican City, is the most important church in the world and you will find inside this amazing basilica, including more works by the renowned sculptor/architect Gian Lorenzo Bernini and also Michelangelo's Pietà. 

After spending some free time, transfer to the International airport of Rome for boarding your return flight. Your luggage will be tagged till your final destination in India. Dinner will be served on board.

DAY NINE |  DOHA FULL DAY WITH HOTEL & BRUNCH

HIGHLIGHTS | Optional Doha Tour: Amphitheatre, Museum, Getting Ready for World Cup Football

Up on arrival in Doha at around 5.30 in the morning, the airline officials will take care of your Transit Visa & transfer to the respective hotel. Have breakfast in the hotel. Take rest and then you can go for the optional tour of the Desert Odyssey – Doha for 4 hours.  After that back to hotel for freshen up followed by the tour coordinator will guide you to transfer to airport for final boarding to Kolkata. You don’t need to check in with luggage…as you are carrying only cabin luggage. Board the flight. Dinner will be served on board, per your choice.

DAY TWELVE | BACK TO KOLKATA

HIGHLIGHT | Home Sweet Home

Arrive in Kolkata early in the morning. After immigration, take your luggage. Bid good bye to all your friends, met during the tour and also the Tour Coordinator of Aviana Holidays. Tour Ends here.
